Please join the Doña Ana County Flood Commission on the corner of El Camino and Doña Ana School Road in the Village of Doña Ana on Friday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. for the ribbon-cutting of Abeyta Pond, which includes the park site for El Parque Alegre de Doña Ana.
El Parque de Alegre de Doña Ana will be a special place for gathering outdoors and in nature. It will function as a multi-faceted approach to flood management, outdoor recreation, ecology, safety and quality of life. Concepts for future park amenities include a nature play area, pollinator garden, mountain birding, and an outdoor classroom space.
